Welcome! This site is designed to help you build a strong foundation in reading — whether you're studying on your own or working with a coach. Here's a quick video guide to the tools and features you'll find as you explore.
The Alphabet's Who's Who
It might look playful at first glance — but learning the alphabet is one of the most important steps toward becoming a strong reader.
Each letter has its own page filled with:
- All the sounds a letter can make
- Audio recordings and sample words
- Rhyming games for extra practice
Behind the fun is serious progress: mastering the alphabet helps you sound out words, recognize spelling patterns, and grow into a confident reader.
Learning with the word drills.
Tools to help you sound out a word, and learn definitions, synonyms, antonyms, rhymes. Easily open an external dictionary or thesaurus for more indepth definitions and usage.
Matching and rhyming interactive exercises for independent practice.
Listen to and read aloud sentences including sentences that use drill words, sentences about practical topics like the weather, and sentences to lift your spirits.
For coaches (and ambitious self learners)

- Double-click any word to open an online dictionary, like Merriam-Webster.
- Highlight text and press Alt + right-click to have the phrase read aloud.
- Your settings are stored safely in your browser's local storage — no information leaves your device.
- Customize your dictionary choice or turn features off anytime if needed.
- Optionally, you can install additional browser extensions for text-to-speech reading, translation, built-in dictionaries, or grammar tools. Set up your browser and begin learning.
Protecting your privacy.
- We do not track, store, or transmit any information about you.
- External links open in new tabs without sharing referral data.
- Browser memory is used only for your learning preferences (like reading speed) and two lesson games, and you can clear them anytime.
- This site uses only one external tool: Datamuse API (for optional word searches). Output is verified and lightly filtered.
- You can study offline — many features work without an Internet connection!
